Let's get right to it: The Burden is the sophomore album by Infiltration Lab and is distributed online by noisybox.net. This harsh composition is the follow-up to Infiltration Lab's 2003 release ioctl(). The sound? Dark drones, sickened noise, and morbid chants, sometimes accompanied by little sounds and sequenced beeps. The message, if there really is one? Recurring themes appear in life via burdens. Using state-of-the-art photocopying and glue technology, a hand-crafted set of 25 CDRs was...

The debut release from Soulseek Records, Comp001 embodies the democratic ideology behind the conception of the label itself. Chosen by user votes from over 160 separate artist submissions, the tracks on Comp001 span from glitch to dance, from ambient to breakcore, creating a powerful and diverse introduction to this new label.

The virtually unlistenable debut album by Infiltration Lab. Nearly 40 manic minutes of unforgiving noise, fucked-up toys, samples, and general nonsense. A collection of incoherent and abrasive sounds was recorded and mastered in two measly days...it's a first attempt album...and it probably shows. From the sleeve notes: recorded in haste on 6/6/3 and 6/7/3 in the infiltration lab lo-fi home studio. all sounds (de)constructed, mangled, and arranged by jason plumb / infiltration lab. keyboard,...

One Minute Massacre, the second release from Soulseek Records, is built from a simple concept: each artist creates 1-2 minutes of music which is then passed to the next artist, who smoothly (or not so smoothly) picks up from the end and attaches another 1-2 minutes of his or her own. Two sets, each totaling roughly a half hour of continual sonic mutation.

Originally released on the P2P service Soulseek in 2001 or so, this compilation (by an unknown third party) compiles some of the best of Vim's early, freely distributable .MODs into an album-sized compilation.
Trabant Chai is a lounge in Seattle that had asked Soulseek Records back in May of 2003 to make a compilation for their grand opening. After Soulseek Records success with making a compilation for Cen-Art they decided to give it a try. The style of this compilation is somewhat similar to the Cen-Art release in it's relaxed feel but the focus here was to make music you would hear on a space station. The tracks were selected by Monotremata, one of the owners of the lounge.

"Micro Nofi" is the fifth full-length release by nofi/found. It combines elements of ambient, chill-out, glitch-pop, IDM, and techno styles and was originally released in 2000 on CD-R. The entire album is a single work, with short 'micro' fills between the individual tracks.

Cen-Art is a compilation of downtempo, ambient, chill-out tracks created especially for the restaurant/lounge/art gallery of the same name, located in Barcelona, Spain. In addition to having rooms full of comfortable lighting and poofy cushions for sitting, Cen-Art (the place, not the album) also hosts DJ performances, live music, kitchen art, and other activities. Check it out if you're in the area! The album contains the same laid-back atmosphere that the restaurant does, and is warm,...
